Baginbun Norman Festival

Hook Tourism are delighted to announce that the 4th Baginbun Norman festival will be held at Fethard Castle on Sunday 18th August 2024.

‘At the creek of Baginbun, Ireland was lost and won’ is well remembered here in Wexford. It refers to the Normans’ victory over the local forces who fought them on their arrival in Baginbun in 1170. Arguably, one of the most significant events in Irish history.

An historic talk will take place in the neighboring St Mogues Church.

There is an action packed schedule which will also include a Norman Re-enactment group, Dunbrody Archery display, Medieval games and Music among many others.

There will be an evening of music in the evening in St Mogues Church with Eleanor Shanley and Mike Hanrahan, we recommend that you bring your own cushion.
