Hook Peninsula Photography Competition & Exhibition

About our 2019 Competition and Exhibition

Welcome to the Hook Peninsula Photography Competition 2019. The competition now in its sixth year, is a showcase of outstanding photographs taken by both amateur and established artists.

48 images will be selected from all our entries across all categories by the judge, Irish Times Photographer Alan Betson.

The chosen images will be featured at our official launch exhibition in 2020.

These images will feature in a series of traveling exhibitions throughout Ireland in 2020. These series of exhibitions are a great way to showcase the unique beauty and interest of the Hook Peninsula and are a great platform to promote the talent of all the individual Photographers.

Hook Tourism Limited is a community organisation which has been in existence for over 50 years. Its aim is to promote the Hook Peninsula as a premier tourist destination and to protect its unspoiled natural landscape and built heritage. The organisation runs the two tourist offices on the peninsula in Duncannon and Fethard-on-Sea and led on the restoration of the Georgian walled gardens at Tintern Abbey and now operates the ‘Colclough Walled Garden’ as a tourist attraction.
